 Prevention of Global Warming

Global warming is a big social and environmental issue which needs to be solved on urgent basis by the end of each and every person. We should stop all the activities causing increase in the environmental temperature and level of carbon oxide including other green house gases in the air. We are releasing poison to the air after each drive. There are lots of activities of all of us causing increase in the environmental temperature however we are totally unaware of. Use of hot water for many purposes, use of ordinary bulbs, unnecessary use of electronic devices, cutting plants, burning wood during winter or other seasons for other purposes, burning fuel in transportation, and many more. We should measures which are highly efficient and eco friendly to the environment.

We should not cut plants instead we should do more planting in order to lessen the CO2 level in the atmosphere. Deforestation completely disturbs the ecology balance and affects the whole world. The rise in the environmental temperature is going at a faster rate in few last decades. According to the NASA and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), it is evaluated that the primary cause of increasing global temperature is human behaviour, activities and life styles. We should reduce our energy use whether at home or work place because high level energy use contributes high level of carbon dioxide. Fossil fuels are burned to get energy for many purposes but releases lots of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. So, reducing our energy use we can contribute towards reducing the personal carbon footprint.

Use of compact fluorescent or LED lights in place of ordinary bulbs reduces the energy use up to 75 percent and lasts longer. We should make sure that we are not wasting energy by any means unnecessarily. We should reduce our dependence over fossil fuels, electric lights, etc instead use green power which produces energy from the renewable sources such as solar light or wind. Transportation of materials from outside or other cities causes emission of more CO2. So, we should buy locally manufactured goods with minimal packaging in order to reduce CO2 emission and wastes. We should make habit of recycling goods or donate them instead of throwing them.

Instead of using our personal means of transport, we should use public transport means like bus, train, etc to reduce the emission of poisonous chemicals and pollutants to the air and lessen the risk of global warming. We should minimize our use of appliances and maintain our automobiles as well as make habit of reduce needs, reuse and recycle things.

Essay- My Pet Dog

Introduction

I have an adorable Dachshund as my pet. It is an extremely lively dog and always keeps us on toes whenever we are out to play with it. We have named it Buddy and it indeed is our best Buddy. Dachshunds are very friendly and cheerful. Buddy has gelled along extremely well with our family and loves all of us dearly. We also love it with all our heart.

My Pet Dog’s Features

With their long and low bodies, Dachshunds look quite different from the other breeds of dogs. Here is how my Buddy looks like and behaves:

Buddy is chocolate brown in colour and is long haired.

It is a miniature sized Dachshund.

It has a very strong smelling power.

It has a very pleasant and friendly disposition. It befriends all our friends, neighbours and relatives who come home and is eager to play with them.

It is also very brave and clever. It always remains cautious about who roams around in the street next to our house and barks at any suspicious or unfamiliar person around.

It is also very curious about things.

It is Fun Playing with Buddy

Dachshunds are hyper active and always keen on playing different games. Buddy particularly loves playing with the ball. So every evening we take it out for around half an hour and indulge him in this activity. It is not only fun for Buddy but an extremely amazing experience for me and my brother too.

Buddy also loves travelling. We often go for weekend outings and Buddy is always super excited to go along with us. Since it is small in size, it is not a hassle to take it along. It does not even require much food which makes it quite travel-friendly.

It has been a year that we have brought him home and our friends and cousins have started visiting us all the more since then. A cheerful soul that it is, everyone is fond of it and wants to spend time with it.

We mostly keep it tied with a chain when it is home. My mother particularly makes it a point that Buddy is tied with its chain near the balcony. This is because the moment we untie it, it runs around the house breaking every single thing that comes its way.

Conclusion

Pet dogs are fun to be around and especially if it is a Dachshund, you can never get bored. Each day seems exciting and fun in its company. Buddy is the lifeline of our family.

When girls dress like boys and young men look like women there is something deeply wrong. Going deeper into the root of this, it maybe worthwhile to note why men and women dress as they do. From simple nakedness into which man is born he began to dress himself. At first he had to dress against the rigors of weather especially cold. As long as clothing served it basic purpose he never cared whether it was soft or rough the material from which it was made. As knowledge of weaving, dyeing and much later, the knowledge of tailoring developed, man began dressing and woman draping herself in fashionable clothing. This change was more rapid in western countries than in the East. In Europe, they held on to a dress of a particular fashion because they were conservative. 

But the change in dressing has been at a fast pace in America. The War (Great World War II) accelerated this trend. For the sake of convenience and economy certain types of dresses became a regulation dress and the civilian also took to it because it was found to be comfortable and convenient. The 'slack' may be cited as an example. The cinemas set up new trends in fashion and youngsters began clamoring for such dresses. Thus the tight pants and beach dress in the case of girls became a fashion. 

The way youngsters dress was a revolt against the established order and norm. Many of the movements got started in America and today because of it's permissive society the dress has become too short and is now only a micro mini. They do it in bravado spirit of 'What can you do ?' 

Young hippies dress like women, grow hair and sometimes appear like mendicants. They lead a life of their own. They want to live like 'Adam and Eve' indulging in free love. Nowadays it is common to see men wearing chains, bracelets and ear rings like women. The opposite way of dressing is taking place. 

In the case of some girls they want to get noticed and seek attention so they wear clothes that are worn by men like tight jeans that are torn at knee caps to make a statement of their dressing. 

By dressing this way both sexes are trying to defy each other and veering away from established fashion trends.

Tree plantation means planting trees in large number. Trees are very important to us in many ways. We cannot think of our existence without trees. Trees convert a great deal of our food deficiency by providing fruits and vitamins. They supply timber for various uses. Trees prevent soil erosion. Many kinds of medicines are prepared from leaves, roots and barks of trees. Above all, they help us to keep ecological balance supplying oxygen. Generally trees are planted in July and august. They can be planted in read sides and in all educational institutions. But our trees and forests are not sufficient in proportion to our total land area. To preserve our environment we should plant more and more trees. Government should encourage the people for plantation by various media.

Every city has one or more zoos. For a while, people think that a zoo is no useful purpose. If I were faced with this issue, I would think that zoos are useful. In the following discussion, I would like to reason and provide evidence to support my viewpoint.

The first reason is that zoos are often used as places to preserve the endangered species, such as the giant pandas and tigers. It is the conservation of animals that is the most important function of a zoo. With the advances in reproductive technologies, which assist in breeding captive animals, the zoo has become the most important place for animal conservation. Thanks to zoos, certain species of animals have been saved from extinction. Such animals are bred in captivity and when they are ready to survive in the wild, are reintroduced to their original habitat - in the rain forests of Brazil, for instance.

In the second place, children can obtain direct knowledge about a variety of animals by visiting zoos. They can see what a tiger is like, hear various sounds of birds and tell one animal from another. If there is no such a place, how can they make contact with animals? They may never have a chance to see various animals even though they learn many from books. When I was a little girl, I liked animals very much, especially birds. But I could not feed them for myself, so the zoo which was located near my home was the place I went to most frequent. And I really love these places.

Finally, a zoo is a place for fun. In fact, this is why it is so good at educating the public about the importance of conserving wildlife and the environment: it puts fun into education. Seeing pictures is not the same as seeing animals at close up. What makes visiting a zoo so enjoyable is our close contact with them. Therefore a zoo not only attracts many tourists from other countries, it also allows us to see, without having to leave home, big cats and exotic animals of distant countries.

In summary, I believe that a zoo has some useful purposes to serve: to preserve the endangered species, to educate the public about wildlife, and for its visitors to have fun. So a zoo of course is a useful place for us and we should have them.

 Do clothes make a man?

Would a frenzy people become cool, after he wears a lab white cloth? Would a child become mature, after he dresses a tie? And would a prisoner become a hero, after he takes off his prisoner's suit? At this point, I consider that the crucial factor of a person's behavior is not relied on what he (she) is wearing. Instead, the character of a person determines which type of people he (she) belongs to.

First and foremost, although clothes play an important role in people's daily life, they are not the determining factor of their characters. As we can see, the appreciation of one's personality largely depends on his (her) behaviors, including the way he (she) talks, and the way he (she) does things. After all, the primary function of clothes is to keep us warm, and to prevent us from being naked like animals. As a proverb goes, "A beggar would not be someone; even if he wears a gold hat."

Secondly, as far as clothing is concerned, there are many people wearing the same clothes, but they can behave differently. Take uniforms for example, we could not deny that some doctors are impatient when they treat their patients, while others are very nice. Some soldiers are nice to their prisoners, while others treat their prisoners badly or even abuse them. So it is quite wrong to conclude that all policemen are helpful, and all government officials are trustworthy, only because they wear the government uniforms. After all, the uniforms are only used to distinguish one job from another.

Due to the above mentioned reasons, I can safely conclude that people would not behavior differently despite they wear different clothes.
